How do I sign up for Infosec.Exchange?

Visit https://infosec.exchange, and click the Create Account button.

A page will then display the Infosec.Exchange Rules. Click Accept to confirm that you understand and accept the rules (or click Back if you don't, but you won't be able to create an account if so).

On the next screen, enter your:

• Display Name. This is cosmetic and you can change it at any time.
• Username. Your address in the fediverse. This is how other people will contact you, and you won't be able to change it, so choose wisely. You can't use a name which is already taken on Infosec.Exchange, and be mindful of the rule on dishonest impersonation.
• Password. Choose a strong password which you don't use anywhere else. Don't reveal it to anyone, even a moderator or administrator of Infosec.Exchange. No-one but you will ever need to know this password.
• Email. Enter your email address.

Click SIGN UP and you should soon receive an email with subject:

It might not appear instantly if the server is very busy, but check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.

Click the Verify email address button in the email, and you should be good to log in!
